Professionals from across North Alabama gathered to see presentations from the Work-Based Learning programs selected by the Governor as best practices in our region. The programs selected were:
➡️ DeKalb County Technology Center with their Theatre And Medicine In Education (TAMIE) program.
➡️ Northwest-Shoals Community College with their Power5 HVAC program.
➡️ University of North Alabama with their Institute for Innovation and Economic Development.
➡️ North Alabama Homebuilding Academy (NAHA) with their short-term residential construction program.
The gathering was hosted by the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship, the Governor’s Office, Alabama Community College System, Alabama State Department of Education, Alabama Commission on Higher Education, the Alabama Workforce Council, and Alabama Department of Commerce. Special thanks to Dr. Jimmy Hodges and Calhoun Community College for hosting this regional work-based learning event.
