AL Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities seeking nominations for awards

The Alabama Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities is seeking nominations for its annual Statewide Awards, which recognize the contributions and successes of people with disabilities, and those businesses that provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to achieve through competitive, integrated employment. 

This year, the awards event will be held in person during the Alabama Statewide Workforce Conference on September 7-9, 2022, at the Birmingham Hyatt (formerly the Wynfrey).

The Alabama Governor’s Committee is seeking nominations for the following awards:

  • Employee of the Year – Large Business
  • Employee of the Year – Small Business
  • Employer of the Year – Large Business
  • Employer of the Year – Small Business
  • Public Service Award
  • Student of the Year Award
The deadline for submitting nominations is no later than July 15, 2022, 5:00 pm CDST.
 
The 2022 GCEPD Awards – Nomination Packet Award Nomination packet includes descriptions of each award and a fillable document on which to submit your nomination. 
 
Please send the nomination packet electronically to Becky Parker at becky.parker@rehab.alabama.gov.
