2021 Alabama Interstate Talent Development Convening on April 5

Alabama is hosting the Alabama Interstate Development Convening on April 5, 2021 to offer a space for states to discuss the myriad elements of talent development planning. The event, keynoted by Mr. Jamie Merisotis of the Lumina Foundation, is designed to serve as a professional development experience including over a dozen breakout sessions covering key education and workforce development topics that are germane to developing a statewide talent development strategic plan. Alabama hopes to use the convening as a catalyst to curate consensus on priority action items for the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and the Higher Education Act (HEA).
