Learn more about the following WIOA (Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act) programs for employers

 

On-the-Job Training

  • The OJT Program gives individuals an opportunity to learn job skills and allow employers to train new employees while saving money on training costs. Employer may receive 50-70% of training wages, reimbursed through monthly invoices and upon completion of training for eligible new hires.

Individual Training Accounts

  • Provides assistance with tuition and books for eligible adults, dislocated workers, and youth. (Based on the length of training. Not to exceed $18,000.)

Work-Based Learning

  • Provides work experience and internships to eligible out-of-school youth, ages 16-24. Provides part-time employment up to 30 hours per week. (Max term is 390 hours – up to $16 per hour when working with for-profit companies and $8 per hour with nonprofit companies.)

Incumbent Worker Training Program

  • Provides training and skills upgrades to existing full-time permanent employees. Grant funding of up to $30,000 per project.
