AlabamaWorks Virtual Workforce Conference image

Recordings are now available from the AlabamaWorks 2021 Virtual Workforce Conference, originally held on September 21-22, 2021. The event sought to bring thought leaders, educators, workforce developers, human resource professionals, chambers of commerce, non-profit agencies, and industry to focus on the current climate of our Post-COVID-19 era. The session recordings discuss innovative ways to advance workforce initiatives for business and industry.

The 2021 AlabamaWorks! Innovator Awards, presented by Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, honor innovative individuals and programs from each state region who have excelled in Work Based Learning initiatives. In North Alabama, the Region 1 honoree selected was North Alabama Homebuilding Academy (NAHA). NAHA is a non-profit organization that provides hands-on, short-term programs to individuals seeking to enter the residential construction industry. NAHA constructs a model of success by teaching foundational skills and developing lasting partnerships to build the workforce from the ground up.
